X, formerly known as Twitter, and Range Media Partners have signed a multi-show slate deal. Range will develop at least 10 shows across a variety of genres and formats, which X will distribute globally through the multi-year partnership.
“We are building more than the content we offer on X. We are building a 360-degree media destination that encompasses the best of sports, news, and a variety of other audio and video categories. It is essential to our strategy that we partner only with best-in-class companies that operate across these sectors, and Range Media Partners represents those players,” said Head of Content, Talent and Brand Sales at X. Brett Weitz said. “Jim Rome’s deep talent and enthusiasm for the platform’s direction make them the perfect partner as we embark on this new venture.”
The first project is in partnership with sports commentator Roma. “The Jim Rome Show” is America’s longest-running nationally broadcast long-form sports talk show. His content will be adapted into a digital streaming format for the first time. Starting after the Super Bowl, content will air on His X throughout the year.
“I couldn’t be more excited to develop and distribute my own brand of content with X. Media distribution is changing dramatically, and X is the place for me to reach fans on the largest and most dynamic platform in the world. “And as X continues to grow tremendously, I’m also able to grow massively and connect and engage with our audiences and brand partners. First day. With full force. Let’s go!” Roma said in a statement.
The partnership comes as Range expands in production and distribution following A+E Networks’ investment in Range and an agreement with FilmNation Entertainment to co-produce and co-finance a series of feature films.
“His Slate deal allows us to continue to serve our great talent and work with them seamlessly and collaboratively from content to commerce,” said Range Media Partners CEO Pete Micelli. ” he added.
