After firing head coach Frank Reich on Nov. 27, the Panthers fired general manager Scott Fitterer on Monday and began the process of filling the vacancy on Monday.
According to NFL media reports, Carolina has requested a meeting with Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.
Callahan just completed his 14th NFL season, his fifth with Cincinnati. He also served as quarterbacks coach for the Lions and Raiders and began his career as an offensive coach with the Broncos.
According to NFL Media, the Panthers have also requested interviews with Chiefs Vice President of Football Operations Brant Tillis and Buccaneers Assistant General Manager Mike Greenberg.
Ms. Tillis has previously been interviewed.
He spent 14 seasons with the Chiefs, three of them in his current role. Mr Tillis joined the club in 2010 as Salary Cap/Contracts Analyst, before also serving as Director of Football Administration (2017-20) and Director of Salary Cap and Football Operations Analysis (2014-16). .
He was the lead negotiator on Patrick Mahomes’ contract.
Greenberg has been with the Bucks for 14 seasons, but 2023 was his first time in his current role. He served as director of football administration for eight seasons, coordinator of football administration for two seasons, and vice president of football administration for two seasons. He joined the club in 2010 as a player personnel assistant.
