The PBR Bull Riding Finals was held on January 10, 2024 at the Coliseum at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado.
Thirty bullfighters from across the country, Canada, and as far away as Brazil and Australia participated in the Denver Shootout Finals. The Denver Shoot His Out, Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour pits top bullfighters against the highest-ranked bulls in North America. Bull riders face off against 2,000-pound animal athlete opponents.
Riders will be judged on their ability to continue riding for 8 seconds. Bulls are also scored by rider. The event also featured Barrelman Matt Merritt, a bullfighter who protects riders after they dismount, and a group of three riders on horseback corral a selected steer within a set amount of time. An event to recruit teams was also held. The team with the fastest time won $30,000.
