New details are emerging about the death of Hollywood actor Matthew Perry. Known for his role in the hit sitcom Friends, Perry died from “acute effects of ketamine,” according to an autopsy report. The late actor had been undergoing ketamine therapy to treat depression, according to the report. However, given ketamine’s rapid metabolism, the report suggests an external factor was involved, stating that “the ketamine present in his system at the time of death was not due to his intravenous therapy.”
In June, In Touch magazine reported that socialite and actress Brooke Mueller was involved in the case, and now the publication’s new report claims that another celebrity friend may be involved in the investigation into Matthew’s death being conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
New celebrity suspect in Matthew Perry death case
A source told In Touch that the second star (who has not been identified) and Matthew both claimed to be sober, but were in fact “walking pharmacies.” The report added that the pair would hang out late at night talking about their drug addictions, their struggles with sobriety, and their personal lives. Police also found photographic evidence of Matthew and the second individual at the doctor’s office where he prescribed ketamine. The same report also stated that Perry and other celebrity friends may have helped each other with medication when they ran out of their own.
