National Championship game likely to be canceled due to bad weather in Houston
When Dawg fans came to Houston for a national championship, they may have brought Purple Rain with them…and more.
Severe weather conditions, including rain, thunderstorms, high winds, hail and even tornadoes, are expected to hit parts of the Gulf Coast, including southeast Texas and Houston, before and during Monday’s game.
Meteorologists in Houston are watching the approaching system scatter thunderstorms in front of it and eventually create a series of strong storms alongside it, which could create severe conditions. The system operating over the Houston area is expected to reach the area before the 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff and continue throughout the game.
