Since joining Business Insider in December 2020, I’ve created nearly 30 recipes.
As we head into the new year, we’ve ranked five of our favorite recipes from all-time celebrity chefs.
Marcus Samuelsson’s fried chicken takes the top spot because it’s crispy and perfectly seasoned.
Some recipes from famous chefs are better than others.
I joined Business Insider in December 2020, and since then I’ve tried nearly 30 recipes, including recipes by celebrities like Martha Stewart and Tabitha Brown.
I would like to introduce to you the 5 best celebrity chef recipes that I have created over the past 3 years, in a ranking format.
5. Emeril Lagasse’s flavorful chicken noodle soup uses vermicelli noodles and stands out among other recipes.
I tried Lagasse’s homemade chicken noodle soup in December 2023. This will be the latest entry on this list.
“There’s nothing better than chicken noodle soup when the weather is bad,” Lagasse’s website says.
Lagasse Chicken Noodle Soup uses 15 ingredients and takes about two hours to make, but the deliciousness is well worth the wait. The soup was flavorful and the tenderness of the chicken and vermicelli noodles made for a perfect comforting soup.

4. Tabitha Brown’s BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich is a delicious vegan alternative to the traditional pulled pork sandwich.
You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy Tabitha Brown’s addictive BBQ jackfruit sandwich. I tried his 9 ingredient, 5 step recipe in June 2022 and am still shocked.
This sandwich, which takes about 25 minutes to make, tasted very similar to a traditional pulled pork sandwich, which shocked me.
“The texture of the shreds mimics pulled pork so well that you could probably throw it on a plate and serve it to someone without them noticing,” I wrote at the time.

3. Martha Stewart’s sticky cinnamon rolls were one of the first recipes I fell in love with.
I can’t finish this list without mentioning my all-time favorite, Martha Stewart’s cinnamon rolls.
I made it in March 2021, and I still can’t stop talking about it. The recipe is a bit daunting as it uses 13 ingredients and takes over 13 hours including refrigeration time, but it’s always a special treat. Stewart sets her recipes apart from other celebrity chefs by incorporating mashed potatoes into her dough, which helps retain moisture.
“The secret ingredient to pillowy perfection? The addition of russet potatoes,” the 81-year-old chef and lifestyle icon wrote on Instagram in December 2020.

2. Former royal chef Darren McGrady’s stuffed peppers for Princess Diana are stunning.
McGrady’s stuffed peppers are the healthiest recipe on the list. While Princess Diana was living at Kensington Palace and wanted a healthier diet, McGrady whipped up the recipe with 15 ingredients in an hour.
According to HuffPost’s Rebecca Adams, Princess Diana told McGrady, “I want you to be careful with all your fats. I’ll take your carbs at the gym.”
The flavors of sweet red peppers, crispy bacon, and mozzarella cheese were delicious in every sense of the word. The first time I tried this recipe was in March 2022.

1. Marcus Samuelsson’s crispy fried chicken uses rosemary for extra flavor.
The Red Rooster founder topped the list with their delicious fried chicken, which I tried in June 2022.
Made with 19 ingredients, Sam Nuelson’s fried chicken is a labor of love. This recipe takes about 10 hours, as the chicken is salted for 90 minutes, then marinated overnight and fried the next day. But the end result is a mouth-watering, deliciously seasoned meal with added flavors like hot smoked paprika and rosemary.
The explosion of flavor and juicy chicken is irresistible.
