SPORTS commentator Katie Nolan advances to Celebrity Jeopardy! The finale after “The Boss” and a “fiery” comeback – plus a very questionable joke.
The former ESPN personality, 36, took a darkly humorous jab at Wings forward Stephen Webber, 62, before the powerhouse won in the last minute.
Tuesday’s Celebrity Crisis! In the semifinals, Nolan, 36, faced actors Weber and Dulé Hill, 48.
This match determined who would join Lisa Ann Walter in the finale (worth $1 million for charity).
Going into Double Jeopardy!, Stephen’s game appeared to have a lead of over $10,000 when Shade arrived.
Ken Jennings pointed out that Stephen “ran” the New York Times’ categories.

He joked that it might be because he was getting older.
Stephen said, “Really, Ken, I read the obituary in the New York Times.”
This led to Katie taking a dejected jab at the actor.
“Are you seeing your friends?” she said, drawing gasps from the audience.

Fans on social media were outraged by the joke, with some wondering if it was strategic.

After Double Jeopardy! Stephen won his $20,200, Katie his $8,400 and Duret his $5,200.
However, a new Triple Jeopardy has occurred! In the round, Katie, who was leading the entire game, was successful with her strategy and after hitting two big daily doubles, she caught fire.
Spectators and opponents alike were surprised when she tripled her score out of nowhere.
She suddenly entered Final Jeopardy with $36,400, Steven with $27,400, and Dulé with $6,700.
The “Television History” section of Final Jeopardy states, “According to the BBC, this 1953 event was “the most instrumental in making television a mainstream medium.””
No one thought of “The Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.”
Stephen invested the entire amount, but Katie dropped $19,000 on “Beatlemania.” However, her lower stakes left her as a finalist with her illustrious $17,400.
Katie, Lisa Ann Walter and the winner of next week’s match will compete in the final on January 23rd.

Last year, actress Mayim Bialik hosted the entire special, but the show returned for the first time since 2015 without the late host Alex Trebek.
Former champion Ken took over for Season 2 and ratings soared without her, but then she was fired from the syndicated (or nightly) show in December.
Her exit could very well mean she won’t be hosting Celebrity Jeopardy! Either again.
On December 15, the sitcom star announced that he had been fired from Jeopardy!. Personally on Instagram.
Mayim captioned his post, “Danger! Announcement.”
“As the holidays begin in Hollywood, we have news for Jeopardy!,” she began.
“Sony has informed me that I will no longer host a syndicated version of Jeopardy!”
He continued, “I am deeply honored to have been nominated as host for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Jeopardy! family.” He continued.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, as well as the fans, contestants, writers and staff of America’s favorite quiz show.”
Mayim has since deleted “co-host @jeopardy” from his Instagram profile.
About an hour later, the news was confirmed on the official Jeopardy! Instagram page.
“Mayim Bialik has announced that he will no longer host syndicated events. [or nightly] version of Jeopardy!,” the post began.
“In order to maintain continuity for our audience, we have decided to have one host for our syndicated show next season.
They went on to say that Ken, 49, would be the show’s sole host.
The game show said, “We sincerely appreciate Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy! and look forward to collaborating with her on future prime-time specials.”
Mayim’s firing was reportedly unintentional, with co-host Ken being “caught off guard”.
“It caught me off guard because I loved working with Mayme. I’ll miss her. I can’t speak to her decision-making process or her opinion on it,” Ken said. told The Hollywood Reporter.
“But for me, I’m just a Jeopardy fan! When they call me, I’m always happy to entertain them. I feel really lucky that even though I’m not a broadcaster, I was considered for this job. ”

During her hiatus, the game show rarely mentioned Mime on social media, and vice versa.
The news was sudden but not a total shock, as the hustle and bustle had gone almost too quiet and she was ignored from the Season 40 artwork that featured only Ken.
Each host reportedly makes $4 million a year, but that number is expected to be even higher for Ken.
Last year, actor Ike Barenholtz won Celebrity Jeopardy and will be competing in the upcoming Tournament of Champions for the first time.
