Chef’s Restaurant announced on social media this week that it has added another A-list celebrity to its wall of celebrities who have visited Chef’s.
The new addition is Damar Hamlin.
Who is Damar Hamlin?
Damar Hamlin is a football safety for the Buffalo Bills who became the face of the global CPR movement after an injury that occurred on a football field in January 2023. Hamlin played college football at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was also a member. He has become a part of the Buffalo Bills family since they drafted him in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
He was the most searched athlete on Google in 2023, and Hamlin was also named the most searched person in 2023 (surpassing Taylor Swift).
Who started the Celebrity Wall at Chef’s?
Damar Hamlin is only the most recent celebrity addition to Chef’s Restaurant’s iconic wall, but the wall was started by Jerry Springer in 1997.
Chef’s Restaurant shared a post on Instagram acknowledging Springer as “the first celebrity to be photographed with a bottle of sauce on our celebrity wall in 1997.”
Chef’s Restaurant also shared a famous quote that Mr. Springer shared during his stay. “Please take care of yourself and each other,” Springer said.
