The NFL playoffs are finally approaching.
Even though the Dolphins and Bills games haven’t ended yet, the NFL has decided to announce the playoff schedule. Super Wild Card Weekend begins on Saturday, January 13th when the Texans host the Browns, and concludes on Monday with the Eagles traveling to Tampa Bay.
A total of six games will be played in the opening round of the playoffs, and the full schedule can be found below.
Super Wild Card Weekend
Saturday, January 13th
- (5) Browns vs. (4) Texans, 4:30 p.m. ET (NBC). This is the second time in the last 20 years that the Browns have made the playoffs. These two teams met in Week 16, but just because C.J. Stroud didn’t play, don’t give Cleveland too much credit for his 36-22 win. The Texans’ superstar rookie will be on the field this week and will face one of the biggest tests of the season on the Browns defense.
- (6) Steelers/Dolphins/Bills (3) Chiefs, 8:15 p.m. ET (Peacock). This game will not be decided until after Sunday night’s game. If the Dolphins win on Sunday night, the Steelers will face the Chiefs. If the Bills win on Sunday night, the Dolphins will play the Chiefs, and if Miami and Buffalo tie, the Bills will play the Chiefs.
Sunday, January 14th
- (7) Steelers vs. (2) Bills/Dolphins or (7) Bills vs. (2) Dolphins, 1 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+ (click here). This game will not be decided until after Sunday night’s game. If the Dolphins beat the Bills on Sunday night, the two teams will meet again in this game. If the Bills win, the game will be Steelers vs. Bills. If Miami and Buffalo tie on Sunday night, the game will be Steelers vs. Dolphins.
- (7) Packers vs. (2) Cowboys, 4:30 p.m. ET (Fox). It will be a revenge fight for Mike McCarthy. This will be the second time the Cowboys will face the Packers since their coach was fired in December 2018. Coach McCarthy lost his first game of 2022 and will be looking for his first win against Green Bay.
- (6) Rams vs. (3) Lions, 8:15 p.m. ET (NBC). The Lions will welcome old friend Matthew Stafford to Detroit for their first home playoff game in 30 years. The Rams QB led the Lions to the playoffs three times, but missed a home game. This will be a big game for Jared Goff as well. Jared Goff will be facing the team and head coach who traded him away because they no longer needed him.
Monday, January 15th
- (5) Eagles vs. (4) Buccaneers, 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN). The Eagles have stumbled into the playoffs, but will head to Tampa Bay knowing they defeated the Buccaneers 25-11 at Raymond James Stadium in Week 3.
